Avatel Technologies – 2013 Best place to work in Tampa Bay WINNER!!!

Everyone wants to feel that they are on a winning team, that the company is thriving, and that they are an integral part of the group. Building a winning team requires a shared vision and commitment. It means instilling a “winning” attitude throughout the organization.

I believe that more than anything else, real people in real companies want to be part of a winning team. They want to contribute to producing real results. They want to feel the excitement and the satisfaction of being part of something that works.

Most successful, growing companies like Avatel have a competitive advantage; our own distinct company culture and employer brand that leaders and employees call a “Best Place to Work”. Each year the Tampa Bay Business Journal honors the region’s best places to work. The paper honored the best 60 businesses last week in front of a crowd of 600 at the Tampa Hilton.

Rankings were revealed in four categories based on size and ranked in order based on their scores. After all surveys were completed and evaluated, each company was given a composite score of which ranks them among other companies in their size category. The ranking recognizes companies like Avatel with a great company culture, measuring 10 key engagement categories focusing on items including team effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, manager effectiveness, compensation and benefits.


Avatel was named the WINNER in the “Big” company category with a score of 98.3. To quote Vince Lombardi – “Winning is not a sometime thing; it’s an all the time thing. You don’t win once in a while; you don’t do things right once in a while; you do them right all of the time.”

Being a winner is an attitude, a way of life, a self-concept. It’s a heads-up, full-speed-ahead way of living and being. When people begin to feel the magic of momentum—they begin to see tangible results. At Avatel, we believe that the real path to greatness requires simplicity and diligence. Winning the award for the 2013 Best Place to Work in Tampa Bay gave all of our Avatel team members a sense of pride that what we’re working so hard to build has been recognized. It’s a great feeling and we all want to shout it from the mountaintop!
