Avatel commemorates ten years in business with a look back at its successful journey and a look forward to a bright future. We are both extremely proud to look back on all we’ve accomplished as well as extremely excited about our future and the opportunities it brings.
I am very proud of the business that we have built over the last ten years, and I believe that we are well positioned for the next ten – 10 Years Strong…and Improving with Age.

We’re proud of this milestone and grateful to our customers and staff members who helped get us where we are today. The key to our success has been and continues to be the outstanding team of talented and dedicated professionals, who share Avatel’s vision and mission. Without their passion, trust and demand for excellence, our success would not be possible.
Our goal at Avatel is to continually improve our ability to meet and exceed customer needs. Our focus on customer service has earned us the reputation for being more nimble and more focused on providing what customers actually want. It is wonderful to have reached such a milestone and have achieved so much in our first ten years. We are extremely thankful for and proud of what we have achieved so far. Avatel has been recognized as a leading provider of small and large enterprise business phone systems, transforming communications solutions that create a distinct competitive advantage for our customers. Avatel was named the Avaya 2009 SME Partner of the Year and the 2011 Catalyst Telecom Partner of the year. We are grateful that Avaya and Catalyst recognize our company’s commitment to the needs of the channel and appreciates our focus on delivering value, innovation and service to Avatel and Avaya customers.
At Avatel, we believe that a workplace infused with team spirit is one that is energized, innovative and motivated. Avatel has been recognized by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as a finalist for the “Best Place to Work” in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012. We firmly believe that our people are what set us apart. It’s important to take time to reflect on all that we’ve accomplished together and to consider how, in good times as well as in challenging times, our company performs at the level we do because of the talents and dedication of our people.
Anniversaries mark the passage of time and are worthy of celebrating. Making it to the 10th year anniversary in business is a huge accomplishment. Considering the average company stays in business less than seven years, those that last like Avatel certainly have every reason to celebrate.
In light of achieving our 10 year milestone there really is only one thing to do: celebrate! One of our core values is Celebrate Successes, so to celebrate our company’s 10th anniversary; we will hold a week long “Anniversary Spirit Week Event” during the month of May from the 14th to the 18th.
I believe that organizations like Avatel that focus on and celebrate success create more success. Success becomes ingrained in the culture and people naturally look for it, focus on it and expect it. What we focus on shows up more in our life. If we look for and celebrate success we’ll see more of it.

I have only been with Avatel 3 years, which is short for Avatel’s usual tenure but what I have noticed over time is an infectious sense of pride for Avatel within its workforce. This derives from top down particularly in Jamie Wood our EVP. Every employee is treated as an individual. This allows each person to achieve according to their personal strengths and weaknesses and is key to Avatel’s high success. The atmosphere at Avatel is both a strong family attitude but also a very professional attitude for our customers. The result – Avatel is a fantastic place to work and I look forward to the next 10 years!
Avatel is the most unique environment in which to work so far in my career, I’ve found that the employees and management truly rally together in a team atmosphere to achieve higher goals. We have worked through much adversity and shared in many triumphs in my 5 years with the Company. Jamie and Torina have worked tirelessly to keep Avatel in the Black and have done so consistently in one of the toughest economies in almost 100 years. Avatel welcomes diversity and promotes the right type of work atmnosphere. I feel honored to have been a part of the company to this point in my life. Thank you to Ernie, Torina, Jamie, Jim, and Salena and Congrats on Avatel’s 10th Anniversary. Together we can achieve anything!

Congratulations! Although (and this is hard to believe) I’ve been gone for almost five years, Avatel remains the most fulfilling, fun and special place I’ve ever worked. I’m in contact with at least one person from there every day and you all are in my thoughts daily. I know you’ll continue to have amazing success and I will always be cheering you on.
